PM shied away from calling out China in his address: Congress | India News

NEW DELHI: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi used an allegory to question Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence on Chinese incursions as the opposition party dubbed his “address to the nation” as evidence that Bihar elections were his top priority in the midst of serious crises facing the country.
In a tweet, Rahul Gandhi improvised on a couplet that questions the protector for his lapses and urges him not to beat about the bush but to explain why the caravan was robbed. It was seen in the light of Congress questioning the PM for steering clear in his speech of the serious situation on the China border.
AICC spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said, “We had hoped that he would look China in the eye, name it and gather the courage for some tough talk. But he shied away and pretended as if there was nothing wrong at our borders.”
